Incredible, Parish Family Generosity…

For UPRISE:  Our Catholic Generosity Commitment movement-makers, generosity is a spacious word – it is roomy enough for anyone to give of their time, talent, treasure, and ties to Catholic causes and organizations that mean the most.

In West Michigan, there is a lovely country-town Catholic parish family of Saint Patrick’s.  Led by an amazing Pastor, Father Mark Peacock, the parishioners treat each other as truly family.  Like family, they offer amazing support, year after year in the weekly offertory basket, the primary and basic form of philanthropy that covers the operations of the church and helps support the elementary school, too.  Over the past several years, the parish family has been magnanimously-generous, financially.  They gave several hundred thousand dollars to renovate the inside of the church, and now, just a couple years later, hundreds of families have donated more than a half a million dollars to repair the foundation of the nearly 200 year old church, and expand the parking to support those in our community with physical challenges.  Wow, what an incredibly-generous parish family!  Truly a commitment of Catholic generosity in important action for today, and into our future!  To all donors, your giving has been so valuable  – -and e hope you feel well-stewarded by witnessing your generosity bear great fruit in the many seasons to follow…
