“Henry’s Hope” #11 Work of Mercy, Comforting the Sorrowful…

Meet Henry!  Henry is a wonderful walrus in the “hot off the press” new book entitled, Henry’s Hope by none other than UPRISE’s very own Sister Rosemary Loomis, a Dominican Sister of Peace hailing from Columbus, Ohio.  Sister Rosemary is an UPRISE:  Our Catholic Generosity Commitment movement – maker, one of the wonderful Godly Counsel of UPRISE, always offering spiritual guidance and support for the content and activity of UPRISE.

Part of Sister Rosemary’s holy and generous service to others is her role as a grief minister for the past 20 years part of Eagan-Ryan Funeral Homes, as well as an advisor to the incredible, national Parents of Murdered Children/Other Homicide Victims Survivors organization.

Henry’s Hope is a smart and whimsical way to explore grief and comforting the sorrowful, the 11th Work of Mercy, through the eyes of a child.  Children and families of all ages 6-106 years young read it together and talk tenderly and openly about death.  They find solace in Henry the walrus’s grief journey…Henry opens easier dialogue with his poignant story, where lessons can be learned by adults and children, alike.
