Praying for the Deceased…

The 14th Work of Mercy is such a beautiful one, can be done at anytime, but anyone, praying for those both living and deceased…one of our UPRISE movement-makers just lost a favorite Auntie, her Godmother last week and has been quietly grieving her loss, given how large a life of love her Auntie offered her, especially upon her own mother’s passing several year ago. Having a Mass said for the repose of her soul is one way to offer a prayer to God in thanksgiving for her life. Reaching out to her cousins and writing a letter of condolences and gratitude for their mother serving as such a life gift is another way to pray….when your loved one travels home to God, how to you pray for them and their soul?
