Catholic Generosity & Mercy Offering Hope in the Virus

IMG_0036.jpg

This COVID-19 virus has upended our abilities to gathering around the world in our local parishes with our pastor and faith families to worship together and celebrate the Liturgy of the Word and the Liturgy of the Eucharist. To say it has been a loss would be an understatement for most Catholics.

But our love for Christ has found its way into action out in the community while also quarantined at home.

Generosity of heart and spirit has been so inspiring by the UPRISE movement-makers...sewing face masks for health care workers and now citizens; taking food to the religious within monasteries, abroad traveling from one remote African community to the next to educate local residents of the risks of the virus and the safety practices to protect themselves and their families; shopping for extra families who are in long lines at the local food pantry...these are your UPRISE generosity Works of Mercy.

Thank you all for ALL you are doing each day - your actions inspire love, care and HOPE for our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. God be with all of you.
