Giving hope (and alms!) to the vulnerable and poor youth around the world is the main purpose of the Salesian Missions. Nearly 30,000 Salesian Priests, Brothers, Sister, and novices serve others in need with the spirit of their Founder, Don Bosco, an Italian Catholic priest who began in 1859 a life’s devotion to address and fulfill the needs of orphans and vulnerable children.
